someone on another forum had this to say, and it makes me feel a little better about Rich:

"Geez, give the man a break.........
If he had won only 1/2 the games over the next two years he would have been fired in a heart beat.
Slaton and White are going to come out early for the draft. They will announce after the bowl game.
Coach knew this. He also knew that without those two WVU will be about 8-4. This week he is worth 3 million a year,if he had stayed at WVU, this time next year he would be worth about 1 million a year.
The man knew, that without Slaton and White, hard times are ahead.
He did what was best for his family and his career. I would have done the same. It is his profession. As much as a person loves the mountaineers, it is not one of the "coveted" coaching positions. If it was people would be lining up for the job.
I wish him and WVU success in the future. Rich did as much for WVU, as WVU did for him. May they both continue to prosper. "

His mother probably wrote this.... :roflmao:

This is a great column about Rod from a Pittsburgh paper.

Prisuta: WVU better off without Rodriguez - Pittsburgh Tribune-Review

"The school that couldn't beat Appalachian State, and the coach who couldn't beat Pitt. "

Appropriate! They deserve each other is correct.
