Are there three Gods and if so, whose God is right?
« on: August 20, 2006, 03:39:44 PM »
Since there are three religions which have a monolithic God, (Judaism, Islam and Christianity), and each religion calls upon its own God for victory in the MIddle East, when one God is victorious do that mean the other two are worthless?  Or not worth worshipping?  I don't believe they can be the same God, since  the religions are so different.  So, let's say, if the God of Islam wins and Israel has to remove itself from the occupation of thers' land and Chrisitan soldiers in Iraq have to remove themselves from the country, is the God of Islam more powerful?

I have also wondered something like that. Although I believe in God (the creator & the father of Jesus) I know that others believe just as much as I do in their god(s). They believe without doubt in their religion, just as most christians do in their religion. I guess there's not gonna be an answer here (on earth) & we will all find out when we die.  ???  Nobody on this earth knows for sure which one is 'right', I guess that is why we call it faith.   dunno....  ???

Actually, Islam teaches that their god is the god of abraham and therefore is the same god of the Jews and christians.

If those are the teachings then Moon, who does God decide to win the war when all of his "children" pray for something different?  If God sides with Islam, is he pissed at the Christians or telling them their religion is incorrect?

Since I don't believe in a god I don'f believe he is telling them anything. I believe they are listening to man.

Okay then, you believe they are listening to man..what do you think they believe?  They are listening to men, or they have the strongest god?

They are listening to men who over the centuries have convinced them to think they believe a certain way.

Well then why don't they admit it and give up the Bible and put these men ahead of their God?

Silly argument if you ask me. Most democrats are non-believers anyway, so why should they care.

Becuase they have been indoctrinated since birth to believe these men speak for god....speak the word of god.  Therefore whichever indoctrination they grew up with is the one they follow.  They are too afraid to admit there may not be that crutch for them to rely on.

Since you believe that, Moon, then what would you hypothesize about what would happen if one god wins out over the other?  Would your argument against, say the Christians and their gods be stronger if the Muslims kicked the Christians and the Jews out of the Middle East?  Here is the topic question...can you address it or not because you don't believe?

Will there be a winner?  Will one of the sides actually win? or will it be an ongoing conflict until each has eradicated the other.
