Wish I were going with you. We just came back from a week of fishing and lounging at Lake Norman, NC. Fishing was great, largemouths, catfish and crappie. Have a good time and good luck.

We've been talking about making a trip like there soon,  do they have boat rentals or guided trips?  What all did you all catch?

I dont know for sure about the boat rentals, but I would assume that some of the marinas would have rentals. We had luck with lg mouth bass, catfish and crappie. Fishing was excellant.

The wind was absolutely horrible. Almost impossible to cast a lure. Didn't catch a single fish. Had lots of fun, though!

Heck, I always liked to go fishin' but never once put a pole in the water. Daddy used to take us on fishin' trips, sometimes overnight. It was fun to have him cook us something to eat and make coffee over a campfire. The first time I remember really looking at the stars was on one of those overnight trips - one dark clear night when I was afraid to go to sleep on the ground and spent the night looking at the stars. That was the first time I ever really gave any thought to what might be 'out there.'

You will have to go fishing someday, Libby.  I mean,  going and actually catching a fish.  Fish cooked fresh on the campfire,  nothing like it.  Assuming that you like fish, oh course.

I love 'fresh-caught' and cooked fish - makes me hungry just thinking about it.
