   That day may never come.  My soon to be 13 year old got a spanking the other day.  He informed me prior he was too old to be spanked.

LOL. Nota, from 13 on you improvise.  I remember when one of my sisters so upset our mother that she threatened her a 'hick'ry switch,' and sister said, "You can't whip me! I'm 16!" My mother, a small, usually very quiet and definitely non-violent lady, said, "Watch me."

 well according to my mama you never get to old and she demonstrated that to me until i was 16.    when my children were small they got their hiney spanked every now and then and it didn't do them a bit of harm. in fact we are very close and loving family and they are always telling their kids that their mama didn't put up with the stuff they do. lol

I don't believe in spankings!!!!  Instead of teaching a child reasoning you teach them,  right or wrong,  the biggest person wins.  It's a lot easier to spank than actualy spend time "teaching" children right from wrong.
