I do not think I have seen a winter like this in a very long time.  *cryeye*  I am tired of snow and all the missed days cannot be good for the kids educations. :bang:

Its snowing again.....the roads are getting bad.  I was at staples and by the time I got to 52 the roads were all covered.  People doing 2 miles an hour. :bang:

I remember driving there in the winter. I had to keep chains on my old second-hand car most of the time to get to and from our home. Those drives, down to the main road, then uphill most of the way to 52 and then to Bluefield, were somethin' else!

We have picked up over 26" in snow in 9 days. More than we get usually in 2 years.

Ole' Duke used to drive to work in an old Chevy truck with no 4 wheel drive but I had studded snow tires and plenty of weight in the bed (aka WV traction control) and it seemed I always made in to work and back even though I had to cross Coalwood mountain a many a time in deep snows.

If you remember, it seemed to snow darn near every day last Jan. and Feb. I wore out a shovel trying to keep my walk clear.

Thankfully, we have a neighbor with idle time, a 4-wheeler and a plow attachment. I buy him a 12-pack once in a while; that's all the payment he asks for.  :roflmao:
