Soooo,  just what is it that KFC is serving?

But you will have a clear conscience that you didnt kill the little bugger.

When I was growing up, although my father was a coal miner, he came from a farming family, so we usually had a garden, grapes (for homebrew) a pig or two,and a few chickens. For Sunday dinner, daddy would cut off the chicken's head and then pour boiling water over the body. I'll never forget the smell -- sometimes it was my job to pluck the feathers. *yk*

:roflmao:  I was trying hard to troll Tony,  dang it!!  I actually don't have any chickens.   :roflmao: :roflmao:  May get some one day though, mainly for the hobby of it.  We have a farm but as of yet,  no farm animals other than a few geece that live in the pond,  I'm not sure they count as farm animals.  Our neighbor does all the hay and mowing and gives us a good deal on a beef every year.  He loads it takes it to the processing plant and when it comes to us it's in cute little packages.  If I had chickens,  we'd probably make them pets.   :roflmao: :roflmao:

Well,  it's still undecided.  I'd like the GeoThermal heat pump,  but...I figure we are going to end up with an outdoor wood furnace or/and an updated heat pump.  I made it thru this winter with my limping 15 year old heat pump   will have to figure something out for next year.

My sister had a geothermal unit installed at their new place and they are having lots of trouble. She called in another company and they are giving her bad news on the original installation and unit size. I see a lawsuit coming.

I don't know what a Geothermal is, but I do know that when I had to have my heat pump/AC system replaced it cost big bucks. That may be offset with promised reduction in electric bills. I had it installed last May so got to test it almost immediately and then during this past winter... there was/is noticeable improvement in cooling and heating -- especially heating. I haven't compared electric bills with previous ones, but think they're a little less than with the old system.

My unit is Lennox, bought through and installed by a local Heating, Plumbing/AC company I chose because the son of a neighbor back home in WV worked for them.

Ive used geothermals on a lot of my projects. Down here, they seem to do well. But the one instance I can think of up in WV was a disaster. The units had to be replaced three times in a span of 15 years. I dont know if the climate there makes them a bad choice, or if the know-how to properly size and install them isnt there. Just check out your contractor thoroughly.

This a local situation?
