Anyone been following this group?  First there was Jesco the "Dancing Outlaw".  Now this new show.....I cannot believe they were doing drugs for the world to see....   First it was "Wrong Turn" then this group....what must people think of us?

Actually, the people in the ad did look like typical West Virginians. Evidently if they were looking for "redneck types" they never encountered any real rednecks to model the actors after.

Libby, did you see the ad he's referring to? The people in the ads didn't look anything like a bona fide Appalachian redneck. If that's what they were looking for they missed it by a mile. What the actors in the ad did look like were regular blue collar WV men. That may be redneck to affluent conservatives and liberals alike, but here they looked like regular folks. If you want redneck, we have plenty of Jessco White types here and in the flatlands. That's a redneck, and the actors in the ad in no way resembled that.

Gray, yes, I saw the political ad which backfired because the ad agency in PA didn't understand the meaning of  Appalachian redneck. (Good for them. The people they chose looked like, as you said, regular folks.)
