Topic: I QUIT!

I quit too...finally,  hopefully,  keep your fingers crossed.   

It's a tough habit to break. But if I can do it, anyone can.

My problem is that I've "quit" several times,  sometimes for a year at a time.  It's becoming the family joke,  the bet's start flying evertime "I quit".    This time I quit on the day of my brother in laws funeral this past april 5th.  He died of lung disease at 56 years old and left behind a 10 year old daughter that is struggling with living with the illness for many years and then his death.  Even with that,  It has been a struggle for me.  I have no idea why,  like Tony says,  the smell alone is enough to make you sick.

Neither do I now smoke nor do I partake of smokeless tobacco products. However, the facts regarding my prior usage would question current accepted statistics and statements regarding spewed anti-tobacco jargon from ditto machines. I smoked for 32 years, then quit by changing to a Scoal product of which I used for the next 18 years. That, my friends, is a period of 50 years that I used tobacco products without a health issue and neither death nor cancer came calling my name. Proponents of anti-tobacco issues disregard my situation calling it an aberration to the statistics of the tobacco issue. It is not an aberration to the issue of tobacco use, my history is factual and pertinent to the discussion of those which accept the social position that tobacco kills. Stand on the facts so the issue is understood and proper results achieved.
