I cant for the life of me understand why he still has a following. I think HE is a tool of Satan used to make Christians look like complete idiots

How am I wrong? Its my opinion that the man is a frothing loon. He's done quite a bit to make Christians look the fool.

The Bible predicts so many disasters will happen right before the return of Christ to this earth.  Earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, references to explosives and atomic weaponary, etc.  are all mentioned.  I have heard there were 86 major castastrophes in 2005 alone.  I don't know for sure, but I think Rev. Falwell is telling people not to be sidetracked by Satan and think that these happenings are due to global warning, when in fact they are events in which God has control and the time of Christ is nearing.  Christ is not hear as of yet, but we'll definitely know when he arrives. 

The last time I seriously looked at the topic of Bible prophecy, it was the early 70s and people were predicting the imminent return of Christ then due to the upswing in disasters around the world. He never showed. What makes you think he's going to show this time?

Maybe Messiah did arrive then.  The 70's made a lot of change for the better.  God doesn't usually move fast.
