Topic: WTF is wrong with my feet?

Okay, this has been a problem for a while now but it's getting really bad. They've had a tendency to have dry skin and callus up very easily for a few years now but I swear they're petrifying on me. My heels have big deep cracks in the skin. On the soles of my feet, anywhere there's a wrinkle or a crease, it's splitting open. The skin is very dry and flaky. There's no obvious sign of infection. They're just so damned dry. Lotion soaks in and then it's gone. What's up? Am I growing hooves to go with my horns?

They're fine. That's the first thing I thought about. I know I've got circulation problems... they're always cold, etc, and Mena is going to refer me to a specialist about that. But he said he didn't think it was causing the dryness.

 Don't laugh...my friend had the same thing...the dr told her to rub in vasaline and wrap in plastic baggies at night.  It helped

I do something very similar. In my case it's bag balm and Saran wrap. It does help but it makes them so hot and itchy I can't stand it.

You need to use "Gloves in a Bottle" on your feet. It is about $15/8oz. bottle. It should be used for dry moisture deprived skin and is the most effective skin dry preventive that I know, but, you will need to use it until your feet have completely healed. This should have been started prior to Labor Day and used all through the winter season. Go on line and find where it is sold and buy you some, while you are at it buy several for your friends, they need it also. I bought 15 BOTTLES for the nurses on my wifes floor last year and they loved it. IT WORKS.

Yep what Mr.V. and nota said..and...soak your feet in the tub or a foot bath with some oil, and while you are in the shower, use these things. I call the one thing a foot shaver, I'm not sure what it is called, then when you get out of water, rub some olive oil on your feet.

I was using a pumice stone but they're so cracked now it hurts to sand on them. They do this every winter, but this year has been the worst.

I can't remember what I paid for them, but, how is a couple of bucks, is that too much? No truthfully, I buy them to give to friends who end up in the situation like you and need something to help. I have a little bit in a bottle now, I will drop it by the front office for you Monday. You can use it until your order arrives. This bottle is almost empty, it may have enough for two treatments, don't expect much. I have given away 13 bottles this year to the nurses at Christmas time and this is the bottle that I was using. My skin is like a baby's skin, my elbows, knees, feet and hands are in excellent condition. Remember I'm older that the dirt on your shoes and in your car, but, come to think of it so are you. I wish I had more but.... my wife just brought me a new bottle of "gloves in a bottle", one that she had put back, so Monday at 10:30 you will have a bottle delivered to your place of employment. It is free to a friend.

I doubt seriously that you will recongize me, simply because of my gender, that could be a real surprise to you Monday. should I get a camera to get the look on your face when an editor that you already know hands you this bottle. What a surprize it may be to you.
