very much so.
either way, this is the best.

What is best is you running into that ONE( and you will ),in due time getting married, and having your own child(ren).  In the meantime grow, relax, enjoy life.  *mw*

I know many people already in their thirties that have never married and never want children.  Getting married and having children are no longer what defines a person.  None of my childless married friends have divorced.  None of them! Almost every friend with children is now divorced.  Raising children is now so demanding, that it leaves little time for relationships.

It really is saad.  My kids are my life.  I cannot imagine never having children, I would have been heart broken.

I have to concur it was the best thing.  Men do not need to raise children by themselves.  That is the woman's job.

Gryphon, I realize this is not a moot point, but I wanted to say a couple of things for future reference.

1.  When you have a child, you lose virtually all of your freedom and extra money.  I speak from experience.  On the other hand, you know love like you've never felt and laugh like you've never laughed.  If it were me, I wouldn't take on a child whose mother did drugs while pregnant because chances are good that they'd be affected by that.  Also, now knowing the father (I'm assuming here) and the mother being the type she is, you'd probably have had your hands full.  Some behaviors are inherited.

2.  I don't see a thing wrong with you asking for input on this decision from others who care about you a lot and already have kids.  I think it was a wise thing to do. :thumps:

I know this is an old post and for some reason I ended up here. Anyhow... that's stupid to say a man shouldn't raise a child or children by himself. It's a woman's job?  *reye*

The love that you get from having a child is worth all the money, time and trouble that you can imagine..So what did you end up doing?

selling my kids for a loaf of bread and a bottle of wine.
Well I really raised them, sent them to college, and directed them into the miitary.
I want them to earn a good living so when I need to I can go live with them. I
wonder if they'll complain when I bring my hoes home for a one nighter?
