Are you referring to a sin by God's standard or a sin by Man's standard, they are different you know. A definition should be offered that would explain a sin; many times I wonder the thinking.

I cannot give you a number that is God's business, and I suspect that number is different for everybody. He is not going to forgive you of anything until you are a child of his.  If you continue at that point on in your sin, and do not heed his correction he will then take you out.  Some of the scripture that come to mind are:

Gen 6:3
1John 5:15
John 3:36.

Yes, we all sin. And I know from personal experience that a Baptist conscience is hard to live with.

I think maybe the Catholics have the right idea: you do something you've been told is a sin, so you go to confession, get your penance and forgiveness, and go and sin no more...well, try not to...

(A friend told me about a man in Bluefield who used to go to Mass every morning. I said, "My goodness, what a devout man." He said, "Well, yes, but I suspect it's because he has a wife and two children and a mistress."

Thanks for the laugh, Libby. My wife is Catholic and we raised our children in the Catholic church. So I see the truth and the humor in your observation.
